CUBOS

CUBOS is a collaborative project developed with the Mexican ceramic studio Taller Mono Rojo. Rooted in a shared interest in material exploration and sustainability, the project began with the intention of reclaiming unwanted scrap wood from a workshop in Mexico City.

By combining woodworking and ceramic practice, the collaboration transforms discarded materials into sculptural pieces that sit at the intersection of art and design. Working closely with the founder of Mono Rojo, Olmo Aguirre, the project explores deliberate choices in material, colour, and form, pursuing a design approach that goes beyond pure functionality. The resulting works embody both utility and a strong sculptural presence, emphasising individuality and expressive character.

CUBOS is currently exhibited and available for purchase at the art gallery Ago Projects in Mexico City.
